We're Slinging Our Dog Around

Today we received our Gingerlead sling (you can watch a video of Henrietta walking with it in our next post), and just in the nick of time, too! Henrietta has been walking around at every opportunity, putting weight on her right leg, and her right foot above the toes has started to swell up. I'm hoping that by reducing the amount of weight she's putting on it, the swelling will go down. We've been icing it after walking her, too. The fluid that was collecting around her ankle seems to be lessening, so that is nice to see. And the swelling around her knee has reduced a lot. Her incision looks like it is healing very nicely.

And for those of you wondering, Edelweiss is doing fine, but is completely jealous of all the attention Henrietta is getting. I have to make sure to spend time with her after exercising Henrietta.
